As I’m learning more about the orthodox church, I’m realizing how much the church worldwide can learn from each other. I appreciate greatly the orthodox’s concept of theosis and their emphasis on relationship. As a Christian raised in the “West,” the concept of focusing on the relationship is refreshing and reminds me that God is a personal God who seeks to be intimate with us. I love the idea that God came to earth in order to bring us back into right, intimate relationship with Him as he had always intended.
